The Best Of London On A Budget…

“Score” :

Definition:  English colloquialism for twenty pounds (£20). First used as a reference to currency in the 1900s, the word ‘score’ (meaning twenty) is thought to have derived from the ancient practice of counting sheep in lots of twenty, and keeping tally by cutting (‘scoring’) notches into a stick.

Is it possible to enjoy the best of London culture for just £20 a month?

Yes – it’s just not easy.  It’s particularly difficult if your inclination is to do something of worth or at least of interest once a week.   Here’s how this works: I scour the listings for the capital’s best cultural activities each week and, STAYING STRICTLY WITHIN BUDGET, go out and review the best that this city has to offer – and then give it a ‘score’.
